Under GDMTH tariffs, a large share of your bill comes from your highest 15-minute demand peak — not just total energy used. A few short spikes each month can set the rate you pay across the whole period.

The battery discharges precisely during those load peaks, shaving the spikes your meter records. Your facility draws less from the grid at exactly the moments that cost the most, so your billed demand comes down.
